Getting to know you - Lanyard or (Business Card) Game

All you need is Lanyards and if you don’t have these then business cards will work just as well.
Everyone takes off their Lanyard (or business card) and throws it into a pile in the middle of the circle. Mix the lanyard (or business card) pile for a few moments. Then ask each person to select a lanyard (or business card) and find the owner.
Once they have found the owner they then exchange information about themselves, such as, name, where they live, reason for joining the company, what they hope to get out of being a member of the company and what strengths they bring to their team.
When everyone has their own lanyard (or business card back), each person in the group will introduce the person whose lanyard they were initially given and mention something of interest about that person. This helps participants get to know and remember each other.
