Port Douglas, Tropical North Queensland, Queensland, Australia 4877

The group will meet in the hotel foyer at 10am for a short transfer down to the Marina Mirage to board their sole chartered paddle steamer for a cruise down the inlet.

Travelling through the mangrove channels of Dickson Inlet participants will learn about this fascinating estuarine habitat that’s typical of Australia’s Tropical North. Crocodiles and wildlife sightings of sea eagles, kites, ospreys, kingfishers, herons and waders are all possible on this leisurely steam down the inlet.  Light nibbles and beverages are served.

From the inlet the journey will continue past the scenic Port Douglas waterfront and harbour, offering stunning coastal views of the rainforest clad mountains. From here its onto lunch with the vessel making its way to the jetty directly at the front of On The Inlet Seafood Restaurant for a delicious lunch serving some of the best seafood and freshest produce the region has to offer.

After lunch the group can take a short stroll into the village to explore town and do a spot of shopping or head back to the hotel for a siesta or swim prior to this evenings dinner.
