Rumble in the Jungle
Published: 18/01/2011 by Event Planners Network
We’re going on a Safari….. guests arrive back from their days activities to an invitation to tonight’s “Rumble in the Jungle”, armed with their Safari Hats guests are met in the foyer, by their Safari Guides, warning them of the dangers of tonight’s expedition, ensuring that their hats are donned and that they have plenty of mozzie repellent….
Boarding the safari trucks, guest are taken up the range.. to our venue for the evening Cairns Wildlife reserve. Disembarking the vehicles, the guests are led through hippos, tigers and rhino’s before arriving at the Zulu Bar, where canapés and beverages are served.
Comedian and Safari Guide, Drongo Dave, enters leading the guests to the “lion proof” dinner site. The site is lit with flame, tables lined with zebra print overlays, a 5 star dining experience. As the night rolls on the sound of lions calling in the distance, Drongo Dave encourages the guests closer to the fence line where he swears he saw a lioness hunting….
The ground shudders and a sound of thundering feet open up to a spectacular sight, there is an entire pride of lions running in the direction of the dinner site, its feeding time, but fortunately it is not our VIP’s on the menu’s but chicken carcasses strategically placed safely inside the fence line. This is truly an amazing experience, a pride of lions charging and then feeding.
When the excitement dies off, it is back to our own feeding time, as we finish our dinner to the soothing sounds of wildlife in the distance.
