A great indoor or outdoor activity suitable for groups of 20 to 200 the bridge building challenge will have each teams creative juices flowing as they work together to design, plan, build and then present their bridge masterpiece to the competing teams.  The ultimate test will be finding out whether or not the bridge comes tumbling down!

Split into groups of 4 to 10, teams will need to work together and utilise their individual strengths and weaknesses for various skills required to effectively complete the task at hand. Who’s the best communicator? Who’s the strategic thinker?

After a briefing explaining the ins and outs, each team will then receive the equipment and tools necessary to complete their masterpieces. Equipment includes such items as bricks, ice cream sticks, paints, cardboard, pebbles, glue, wire etc

Teams will be allocated approximately 1.5 hours to design and construct their masterpieces before presenting to the competing teams.  Will there be a replica of the Sydney Harbour Bridge or will teams compete to design and construct innovative and out of the box designs.

Competing teams will assess each other’s designs and award a first, second and third place (continues on dependant on number of teams). Votes will be collected and will be kept secret until the end ensuring a fair vote for all.

After the presentation, its time for the fun part as well as the final opportunity for teams to score points to decide the overall winner. Who’s bridge will come tumbling down?  A replica semi trailer loaded with stones will be placed in the centre of the bridge to see which bridge comes tumbling down and which bridge stands the test of time!

Duration:  Allow minimum 2.5 hours for this activity
Location:  Suitable for indoor or outdoor
