Yarra Valley, Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, Australia

Participants depart the hotel in their deluxe touring vehicles for the one-hour journey to the luscious Yarra Valley.

First stop of the day is Yering Station, home of the Yarra Valleys first vineyard and at the historic cellar door, participants will learn how to swirl, sniff and slurp the wine before tasting.  The cellar door is adjacent to Yering Stations award-winning, architecturally designed winery and restaurant with sculptured gardens and as part of their experience participants will also have the option to peruse the produce store, view the local art gallery located in the cellar door or relax and taste a variety of wines from this prestigious winery.

From Yering it’s onto the next stop, Rochford Wines - home to the local “Day on the Green” concerts in summer and today’s delightful lunch venue.  Participants will indulge in a guided tasting session at the Rochford Wines tasting table before selecting a wine to compliment their lunch and moving to the restaurant that offers magnificent vineyard views.

After a delicious lunch and for a change of pace in the afternoon the group visits Yering Farm.   One of the Yarra Valleys more boutique wineries, Yering Farm offers stunning views and oozes with rustic charm. Here participants will experience wines made with traditional methods in their cellar door and will have the opportunity to taste wines that are not readily available to the mainstream public.

For a spectacular grand finale, the last stop for participants is a visit to Domaine Chandon.  This is the French Champagne company Moet & Chandon's Australian production house and offers the perfect way to finish the day. Participants will enjoy a special access guided tour through the winery, with a demonstration on the process for making these world famous bubbles. Emerging from the riddling room to jaw-dropping views, the group will enjoy a relaxing glass of Australia's best bubbly and light tasting platters. Domaine Chandon truly is a must see in the Yarra Valley.

From here the group makes the return journey to Melbourne, content and happy after an unforgettable day in the stunning countryside of the Yarra Valley.
