Human Rhythms…a unique and exciting form of team building!

Experience how within a few minutes your team becomes a musical ensemble without one word being spoken! An extraordinary level of energy is achieved as delegates become active performers, rather than watching passively as someone else performs for them.

The session commences as a surprise with delegates walking into a “created amphitheatre” where drums are placed at seats for each person to perform with.

The more enthusiastic play immediately, which leads the more inhibited into the rhythm too. Almost instantly all are playing and they enjoy the “child within moment”. It is at that point that they wonder (without saying it out loud) what is really going on.

They then look for a common denominator and the only one they find it the two Human Rhythms staff playing (and moving) in unison with each other. The groups quickly and pretty effectively find this common rhythm and this is the point where the HR facilitator can begin to “conduct” controlling the volumes & rhythms being played too. Whilst the average Human Rhythms session runs for about 45 minutes, it can be shortened (or lengthened) but only about 50% of the time is used to actually play the drums. The balance of the time is utilized effectively to incorporate instruments that are of less volume and rely more on the sound effect and tones they create. In some instances the instruments are even quiet, and we emphasise the groups need to listen to one another to create a successful music piece.

Additional Information: We have products to suit any budget. Whether using the cuttlery & crockery or our large 60cm drums, music can be made effectively with any instrument in hand, as long as the leadership signals are clear. We even do a great "body percussion" segment!
